journey

Here are some facts about my life's journey so far...

CHILDHOOD

Amazing. I grew up in New Brunswick, Canada, and I had the best childhood. I had family, friends, and the best part.. we played outside!

Divorce. Everything was great until my parents divorced when I was 9. Yes it sucked and yes it messed me up for many years.

Trailer park. When people bash trailer parks, I get offended. I grew up in one and to be honest, it was the best.

YOUTH

New struggles. My mother was in a bad relationship and couldn't be there for me. My father in a new relationship and got her pregnant after 6 months. That has been the toughest relationship because our personalities don't mesh but they are still married and I love my not-so-little-anymore brother.

Mother. Mother/daughter relationships, in my opinion, are the hardest relationships. Our relationship has never been the same since their divorce and got worse throughout the years. We're still working on it.

Graduation. At 17, I rented a room so I could stay behind and graduate after my parents moved across the country with their families. I graduated on June 26th, 2003 from a fully French school, all by myself.

20-25

Big move. After I graduated, I moved across the country and lived with my dad for a year before finally moving out on my own at 19.

Endometriosis. At 18, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis and had my first surgery when I was 19. I had my 2nd surgery when I was 24. So far, so good.

Relationships. I wish I had had more confidence and self-esteem to kick those losers to the curb.

Anxiety/Depression. I'm not ashamed of this. It doesn't make me weak nor does it make me a bad person. I went to a counselor for a few years and I'm very happy with my life right now.

Mike. The day I met Mike, my now husband, I said "I'm going to marry him" and I did.. on August 6th, 2011. We lived in different cities so of course I moved in with the guy after 6 months of dating. Best decision I've ever made.

25-30

Marriage. After having the best proposal ever, I had the best wedding ever. Everything went absolutely perfect and I married my best friend. He's everything I've ever wanted in a husband.

Motherhood. Words cannot express how much I love my son! He is amazing and I am loving every minute with him!

Next chapter. The next chapter is just trying to better myself, be healthy, look at career options, and eventually expand our family.
